Cally Hayes is an Exeter based writer, educator and mental health specialist. She makes art and performance to challenge the myths around mental health. She co founded Documental a Devon based theatre collective that makes theatre inspired by lived experience. Fundamental to her productions, is the process of research based writing and working with testimony. She collaborates with other artists to produce pieces for performance, audio drama and site specific installations. As an educator, her perinatal mental health training module using forum theatre techniques, has been commissioned by NHS England and she was a 2017 nominee for a NHS England Education Star award for Listening to the Patient’s Voice.
Helen Scholes is Marketing Manager for Co Cars - a social enterprise that provides innovative shared mobility solutions to people, communities and businesses across Exeter and the South West. Her role involves all aspects of strategic marketing, partnership development and media relations - skills she's looking forward to utilising to help support Alright Mate's development and growth. She's generally found on two wheels rather than four and, outside of work, can often be found cycling around Exeter on her way to a yoga class.
