Cracking is a three-part audio play by Alright Mate? co-founder Cally Hayes about parenthood & mental health. Cracking takes an intimate look from a father’s perspective about what happens when you survive the worst, but now risk losing everything. At the end of these podcast episodes, we are delighted to be joined by Dad Matters UK, Acacia & and Dads In Mind who share their thoughts on the drama and talk about how they support dads who have experienced something similar.
The audio play was debuted at this year’s ESRC Festival of Social Sciences on November 7th and was followed by a live web based panel discussion on father’s perinatal mental health and the culture(s) that surround it. The panel was organised with University of Warwick and the panellists included; Cally Hayes (Cracking writer); Hugh McCann (Alright Mate? CIC); Julian Bose (DadPad); Amelie Foster (expert by experience); Nikhwat Marawat (The Delicate Mind CIC); Dr Emma Langley (University of Warwick); Jodie Dowse (Bluebell Care); Dr Mark Pulsford (University of Warwick, panel Chair). See this panel discussion below.
