Training resources

The role of fathers/partners in the perinatal period and how healthcare services can engage more effectively with them.

This is a 3 hour Perinatal Mental Health online training module developed in line with the HEE PMH Competency Framework. This training is for clinicians in community mental health
teams, home treatment teams, early intervention teams, midwives, health visitors, GPs, practice nurses and commissioners.

The training consists of a series of facilitated group tasks using break out rooms to consider the role and needs of fathers/partners in the perinatal period. Using short clips from the Cracking Podcast as a provocation and presentations from Dad Matters UK, clinicians will consider the most effective ways for services to engage with dads to
deliver a father inclusive practice.
